About Our Client

The Smith Family is Australia's largest education charity, supporting Australian children living in disadvantage to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. They support 58,000 students through their flagship Learning for Life program, helping to break the cycle of disadvantage through targeted, long-term support for their education - and they're expanding! It's an exciting time to be joining The Smith Family as they celebrate their 100-year anniversary and launch their new five-year strategy.

Based in Shepparton, the Family Partnerships Coordinator will support students and their families on the Learning for Life scholarship program. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will work with a dedicated, energised, and passionate team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Contacting scholarship families to inform of programs being delivered and inviting them to participate.
  • Liaising with identified schools and Principals as to progress of referrals of students to the Learning for Life program.
  • Enhancing relationships with key people in schools to positively impact on attendance and school completion rates.
  • Ensuring excellent database management and administration support for scholarship students.
  • Referring families to other services and linking them with appropriate supports.

  • Valid Working with Children Check, current Driver's License, and be able to comply with Federal, State and Territory Government health orders for the Education sector by providing evidence confirming your COVID-19 vaccination status (three doses, including the booster).

What's on Offer

The team at The Smith Family tell me they have opportunities for great job flexibility and the ability to work alongside committed, passionate and professional team members whilst engaging in challenging, fulfilling and diverse work. In turn, their team members believe that they offer commitment to their vision, mission, and values and champion effective collaboration with fellow team members to deliver strong performance outcomes and make a difference to the lives of Australian children every day.

  • An attractive remuneration package and access to Not-For-Profit Salary Packaging benefits.
  • A supportive and flexible working environment that supports your professional development.
  • The opportunity to empower students with their education to reach their maximum potential.
