Situated in the North-Shore, this local government council is seeking a Civil Technical Assistant to assist their team for a 3-6 month contract initially.
Your new role
In this role, you will primarily be responsible for scoping footpath renewal programs, investigating customer requests regarding condition of transport assets and responding to customers and assessing applications for private works on the public road reserve and issuing Road Act consents. You will also provide civil engineering technical assistance, roads asset data management and support to the Roads team.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in civil engineering with relevant experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in multifaceted civil works project management.
- Demonstrated understanding in asset management principles and relevant systems and instruments.
- Experience in engineering assessment and conditioning of development applications.
- Experience in managing Council’s asset restoration process including liaison with public utilities and authorities and other Council sections.
- Proven experience in contract management
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Current Class C drivers’ licence.
