Leumeah house fire on Saturday leaves man in critical condition

A man has been hospitalised following a house fire at Leumeah on Saturday night

Emergency services were called to a home on Telford Street just before 11pm on September 16, where they found the house well alight.

Police have been told the 75-year-old male occupant had left the home before collapsing.

Fire and Rescue NSW performed CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) until the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.

The man was taken to Concord Hospital in a critical condition.

Fire fighters extinguished the blaze, which caused considerable damage to the home.

Officers from Campbelltown Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

However, the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
