Bilby triplets have made their first public appearance in Ipswich this week, just in time for the school holidays and Easter.
The three-month old bilbies, born at the Ipswich Nature Centre, are the first set of triplets the centre has ever had.
The female joeys are also the first bilbies born at the centre for two years - their father, Frankie, was one of those born back then.
A council spokeswoman also said it was rare for the triplets to all be female.
Yet to be named, Ipswich City Council is running a naming competition for the joeys on the Discover Ipswich Facebook page.
The bilbies are part of a captive breeding program and will stay with their mother, Tanami, and their father for another nine months before being sent to other animal sanctuaries to continue the program.
Ipswich Mayor Paul Pisasale said the cute trio had been drawing large crowds to the nature centre.
"We want to share our bilbies with the world," Cr Pisasale said.
"We want to make sure the bilbies are not going to be extinct, we're doing everything we can, they are one of most beautiful creatures in Australia."
The mayor said the birth of the triplets, which followed a set of twins at the Ipswich centre - "there's something in the water up here" - was good news for bilby conservation.
"Having the three girls is great for the breeding program," he said.
Cr Pisasale said the nature centre was the only place with a bilby program that had free admission.
The trio's first appearance came as the Save the Bilby Fund called on Australians to buy chocolate bilbies at Easter instead of chocolate bunnies, to help raise funds for bilby conservation.
