Hope Anglican Church will celebrate its grand opening on Sunday, March 19.
The new church at 30 Heath Road, Leppington will celebrate its launch with a special event.
Assistant pastor Cameron Noakes said the whole community was welcome to join in.
“People can expect to see what they would normally see at our Sunday services, which is a bible reading, but we will also have a free barbecue lunch with vegetarian, gluten free and halal options, as well as a jumping castle for kids,” he said.
“There will be a whole range of celebrations.”
Mr Noakes said Hope Church was already connecting with many people in the greater area and particularly in the new development of Willowdale.
“There is massive growth here with people moving into the greater south west growth centre,” he said.
“This region is an exciting place to be a part of, communities are not built by houses, they are built by people.”
Mr Noakes said he was looking forward to welcoming people at the purpose-built church.
“We at Hope Church look forward to investing deeply in the many other new communities that will be emerging in the region over the coming years,” he said.
“We would like to invite everybody to come out and celebrate with us.”
