Rescuers freed a horse from a muddy dam at Appin yesterday afternoon.
Fire and Rescue NSW and RSPCA crews worked to remove the horse which was stuck in the muddy water after 3pm.
The horse was stuck up to its neck in muddy water and reeds in the dam off Appin Road.
The rescue crews used a horse sling and slide to manoeuvre the animal and pull it free.
The owners were incredibly grateful for the response of emergency services in freeing their horse.
