Mr Osborne recommends seeking advice and services from qualified professionals. “We’re the only company in Sydney that provides a DVD of what we do,” he said. “And if the roof doesn’t come up as good as the work on the DVD, the job is free.” Mr Osborne said signs of wear and tear on the roof include broken ridge caps, cracks, watermarks on the ceiling and cracked cornices or gyprock.
Mr Osborne said gutter cleaning was previously done with scraping tools which shortens the life of gutters, or using a blower which can blow leaves back into the roof cavity blocking the down pipe. Oz-pix recently spent $18,000 on a trailer-mounted petrol-powered vacuum to suck up any sludge, leaves or plants from gutters. All staff are certified Nutech applicators.
