Oran Park will receive a $27 million wastewater pumping station which will allow for 7000 new homes to be built nearby.

Minister for Water Niall Blair and Camden MP Chris Patterson made the announcement on Monday.

This station in Oran Park is part of the state government’s $2.2 billion investment through Sydney Water to upgrade infrastructure between now and 2020.

Mr Patterson said the Oran Park wastewater pumping station would see about eight kilometres of wastewater pipelines installed.

"This is in addition to the Sydney Water wastewater projects just completed in Leppington and Austral, allowing a further 12,000 new dwellings in the area to be constructed," he said.

Mr Blair said the infrastructure investment would see new filtration plants, pumps and water supply pipes built.
