ORANGEVILLE motor racing driver Daniel Erickson has a plan in place to help him in his bid to race in the US this year.
He will conduct a Gold Membership Mega Draw, in which Team Erickson Gold Membership subscribers will be eligible for three prize draws worth $6000, $8000 and $15,000.
And there will be dinner auction on March 4 at Campbelltown Catholic Club. One HD motorsport presenter Greg Rust will be master of ceremonies.
A signed Mark Webber 2010 helmet will be among the motor sport memorabilia available.
Details, terms and conditions are at www.danielerickson.com.au/Team-Er ickson-members.
The fund-raisers will also assist Father Chris Riley's Youth Off The Streets Foundation.
Erickson is aiming to compete in this year's Formula Star Mazda Championship in the US after his successful F2000 Championship Series campaign, in which he won the Rookie of the Year title and finished third overall last year, despite missing four of the 14 rounds.
He proved he could be competitive in Formula Star Mazda when he lapped MSR Houston Raceway within a 10th of a second of the Texas track's benchmark time in his first test of one of the junior development category cars in December 2009.
The 2011 Formula Star Mazda Championship is part of the Road to Indy program.
End-of-series prizes total $1.5 million, including a scholarship to the next level Indy Lights series for the overall winner.
