Brothers dominate fairways

08 Feb, 2012 12:00 AM
MOUNT Annan brothers Kane Alexander, 16, and his younger brother Dylan, 13, have produced some great golf efforts.

Kane, who plays off a scratch handicap, won the mixed foursomes event with Narellan Vale golfer Adriana Brent as one of his partners and the men's foursomes with his father Wayne as one of his golfing teammates, at Camden Lakeside Country Club.

The teenage golfer also won the junior matchplay event and the club championships.

"I started playing golf when I was about eight and got my handicap when I was 10," Kane said.

"I got down to a scratch handicap for the first time when I was 14.

"Since then I have stayed between 0 and 3."

Dylan, who started playing golf two years ago, competed in his first club championships and won the B Grade event by 15 strokes.

He has reduced his handicap to 10 in the few years he has been playing golf.

The brothers plan to build on their success this year around the area's golf courses.

"Hopefully all our practice and hard work will pay off and we will get the results we hope to achieve," Kane said.
