Well, it's no joke, Herman Lotey, of Glenfield, is the man described above.

The 21-year-old loves cricket so much that he has established what he believes to be the first Twenty/20 competition in Campbelltown.

Lotey, born in Sweden to Indian parents, has called Australia home for 16 years.

He is excited about the inaugural cricket competition which will starts on June 27.

Naming the tournament the Herman Premier League (HPL), Lotey said the competition, which will include two groups of four teams, would ``provide all the glitz and glamour that Twenty/20 has to offer''.

``I just love the game and I was watching the Indian Premier League when I had the idea to do it here,'' he said.

``I've had a good response and have eight teams, half of them come from outside the area.''

Starting his cricket career with the juniors at Ingleburn, Lotey is a Macquarie Fields Cricket Club second grader.

Prize money for the HPL winning team is $2000 and the leading wicket taker and run scorer will win $125.

All matches will be at Ingleburn Memorial Park 2.
