A FIGHTING fit Daniel Geale will step into the ring tonight to defend his IBO World Middleweight title.
Minutes before Mount Annan boxer Geale was whisked away to the official weigh-in at Rydges Campbelltown, the champion told the Advertiser he couldn't wait for the bell to ring to have a crack at opponent, Serbian boxer Geard Ajetovic.
"I've been sparring really good and am ready for it,''Geale said.
"Everything has been going well and I feel fit."
Geale put in a tough training session just 24 hours before he puts his title on the line.
Set to become Sydney's home of boxing, Campbelltown Catholic Club's new arena, The Cube, will be the venue where the two boxers will slug it out for their bid at glory.
The fight will be the main bout in a six card event which will start at 7.30pm.
