NARELLAN Rangers produced a dominant display of attacking football in their 5-0 M-League victory over Campbelltown Uniting Church on Sunday.
It took 15 minutes for Narellan to get into gear at Nott Oval, with the first goal coming from a mistake from Church's goalkeeper Peter Whicker.
Mark Street scored Narellan's first after he pounced on the loose ball and bundled it into the net to give his team the lead.
The second goal came from a free kick when Church goalkeeper parried the ball into the path of Narellan's Josh McMillan, who blasted the ball home from close range.
Just before the break, Narellan whipped in a corner which Daniel Attard got on the end of to give Narellan a 3-0 lead at half-time. Allan Golledge and Adrian English scored Narellan's second-half goals.
Church rarely troubled Narellan's goal in the second half with most attacking raid being stifled before Church players reached Narellan's penalty box.
Narellan's goalkeeper was only called into action once in the second half when he fingertipped a long range shot over the bar.
Although pleased with taking the three points, Narellan's coach Jamie Jones rued a multitude of missed chances.
Jones attributed his team's squandered chances to lack of match of practice with recent games being washed out due to wet weather causing grounds to be unplayable.
``We should've scored more but we haven't had a good run with games being cancelled,'' Jones said. ``It's a pretty new squad we have but it's a good squad. We're bleeding in some young blokes.
``We keep our game simple and stick the basics.''
Church coach Richard Whicker admitted his team was outgunned by a determined Narellan outfit.
``There were a couple of silly goals we lost, but we just weren't as strong as Narellan and weren't in the match,'' Whicker said. ``We're just a young team that's been put together this year and we're learning from every game.''
Narellan play Church at Lynwood Park on Sunday. In Sunday's other M-League games, Minto host Gunners, Camden Falcons host Bradbury, Appin host Eschol Park and Harrington Park host St Mary's Eagle Vale.
