Ghosts take the spoils in all five grades

CAMPBELLTOWN Camden District Cricket Club celebrated wins in all five grades against North Sydney. in Sydney Cricket Association games during the weekend.

First grade Ghosts retained third position on the ladder with a win at North Sydney Oval.

After a declaration at 4-397, the Ghosts' opening bowlers soon had the home side on the back foot with David Ward (2-22) rewarded with the wickets of both openers.

Cameron Nupier claimed an early breakthrough as Norths slumped to 3-19.

Leg spinner Nathan Brain was introduced into the attack and claimed vital wickets.

Brain bowled 29 overs claiming 4-114.

Troy Yabsley (2-37) claimed two quick wickets after the tea break and Norths tumbled to 9-235.

Captain Tony Clark took the last wicket to dismiss Norths for 311.

In second grade, Norths resumed at 2-34 at Raby 1 to chase Ghosts' 296.

Ghosts' opening bowlers Damian Briscoe (2-30) and Brendan Jones (2-23) were in top form.

Nathan Castelli took 3-50 and Norths were skittled for just 142.

Batting a second time Norths were 5-162 at stumps.

Third grade's opening bowler Nasir Jalil took seven wickets for just two runs as Norths crashed from 2-177 to be all out for for 189.

Fourth grade beat Norths by 6-277 to 254.

Chris De Livera bowled took 3-43 with off spinner Ron Saunders capturing 3-48 from 17 overs.

Fifth grade remain unbeaten.

Reece White (3-20) and Geoff Golding (2-39) bowled well for the Ghosts.
