MORE jobs for young people, improved public transport and a crackdown on graffiti are included in a plan released by Premier Nathan Rees yesterday after a series of community cabinet meetings.
The Regional Action Plan for South West Sydney was released after a State Plan meeting in Camden on Monday night.
The plan was developed after a series of community meetings, including one at Camden earlier this year, when residents raised concerns about transport, employment, health services and crime.
Mr Rees said the plan ``proves to the people of south-west Sydney that we have listened to their concerns''.
He said key priorities included creating more jobs for young people, improving roads and public transport, improving services for children with special needs and cracking down on graffiti, vandalism and crime.
``These are all issues that local residents told us were important,'' Mr Rees said.
``As the plan is implemented we will update the community on our progress.''
Mr Rees said the Macarthur Building Skills Centre would create job opportunities for young people by providing project-based training in construction, advanced manufacturing and specialist engineering services.
He also said the Government would continue high-visibility policing to crack down on antisocial behaviour including graffiti.
