THE man in charge of Australia's largest optical telescope, Fred Watson, will speak at the Macarthur Astronomical Society meeting.
Professor Watson is the astronomer-in-charge at the Anglo-Australian Telescope at Coonabarabran and will talk about the 3.9-metre diameter telescope facility he manages. Professor Watson will also talk about the facility's scientific achievements and its future as a fully Australian-owned telescope.
The meeting will be held at the University of Western Sydney's Building 22 at 7.30pm on Monday.
