PREMIER Nathan Rees and his ministers will be back in town in about four weeks to report on which of the concerns raised at last week's public forum will be fixed.
Mr Rees told about 200 people in the hall of Mount Annan High School last week that he wanted to hear from locals about problems on their ``patch'' so the Government could solve them.
One resident asked whether Mr Rees agreed that the South-West Growth Centre would not attract residents or commercial investors without road and rail infrastructure.
Mr Rees replied: ``I accept that we need to provide infrastructure but I don't accept that at a time when we have to watch every dollar we should be putting infrastructure into areas before the people are there.
``I want the next generation of people in NSW to be enjoying a booming NSW economy and all that goes with it.
``I don't want to leave them with a mountain of debt.''
Kylie Lyons asked if the Government would evaluate the need for the St Thomas Chapel precinct to be placed on the State Heritage Register before making any final decisions on the construction of a police station in Narellan.
Planning Minister Kristina Keneally said more advice was needed before the Heritage Council could make a recommendation regarding heritage listing.
``In this case, the council has already approved that proposed development [of the police station] so it's not possible to do as you propose, Kylie, and retreat backwards in time to have that process looked at again,'' she said.
Greg Frawley, of the Narellan Action Group, brought up Camden Council's planned 12.25-per-cent rate-rise and asked Mr Rees: ``What can you do to examine the matter of this rate grab?''
Local Government Minister Barbara Perry, who will decide whether the rate-rise can go ahead, said the council would need to make a good business case.
``But most importantly, it has to have good community support,'' she said.
Patricia Thirup asked when traffic lights would be installed on Camden Valley Way.
Roads Minister Michael Daley said $104million was being spent on the upgrade. He said this would start with the section of the road between Bernera and Cowpasture roads, followed by the section between Cobbitty and Narellan roads.
