Make your move at the chess club

13 Apr, 2011 12:00 AM
CHESS lovers in Camden and those who want to learn the game are invited to Camden Library every Wednesday.

A new chess club meets at the library, 10am-1pm, and everyone is welcome.

Camden Library team leader Virginia Gezzi said the free club started about one month ago when local resident Ann Stenekes approached her and offered to co-ordinate the program.

"It's for everyone, beginners or experienced players and it's free, with refreshments included," she said.

"We've had a mixture of men and women of all ages.

"People have come who never play chess and they've been taught how to play but we also have experienced players who are very serious about the game."

Details: 4654 7951.
