Kate McCulloch to run for Macarthur

03 Jun, 2009 02:19 PM
Vocal anti-Islamic school campaigner Kate McCulloch is One Nation's candidate for Macarthur at the next federal election.

Mrs McCulloch announced her candidacy this morning.

She told the Advertiser that she decided ''about a year ago'' that she wanted to be a politician and then approached One Nation.

Mrs McCulloch said her decision to run was about more than her opposition to the Muslim school in Camden.

''It's basically to do with everything - our medical system, businesses, primary production, freddom of speech and equality," she said.

One Nation's publicity officer, Bob Vinnicombe, said: "Kate will be a real asset to the party."

Finally - a chance for a referendum on this relic of 19th-century beliefs. So, Sydney media: let's make a pact. We vote against this silly woman by a 95% margin and show the world that she doesn't speak for (most of) us, and you leave Camden alone and stop whipping people into a frenzy about how we're supposedly a racist town. Deal? Deal.

I'm with you Nomes. One Nation would put a Russian dancing bear on it's ticket if it thought it would get some media attention and help its no-nothing do-nothing "representatives" live off the public purse in parliament.

Lord oh lord, the chief cook for the mayor of Camden, damn we should be so proud. No wonder they want to put barriers around Camden, its not to stop people getting in- on the contrary, its to keep the bogans in, after all, I dont want my children talkin boganish- hey bro.

Nomes, I agree with you totally , but unfortunately even the local media give bogans like this the oxygen to make it into the mainstream media. If they showed some leadership on this issue they would recognise that within 2 weeks this is no-longer an issue, but I doubt it. So for a starter, to re-establish any credibility that we have , we can start by actually putting this behind us and moving on rather that letting the agenda be set by a bunch of bogan loving racist imports who are first generation Australians Do you realize- a Black man, who is the son of a Muslim, is now the President of the United States? How wonderfull, that the american people can see through all the racial lies and elect probably the Greatest Healer, Greatest President to ever grace the Earth- God Bless America, shame on a small group of Camdenites who use this issue to there own political advantage.

Amazing to see that Kate did not run for council- why? maybe because of who her employer might be of course!! and who might that be?

Kate was one of the few with the fortitude, gumption and courage to stand up and speak for the majority of people in Camden, despite being repeatedly victimised by the socialists with their 'give-away-the-farm' attitudes, and unending false claims of 'racist' insults. Despite this she still wants to represent them. Kate loves Australia, its people and our FREE way of life. She is very suited and, with enough support will do very well. Let's be positive about this and get behind her.

Yes she had the courage, but making uneducated statements that play on the heartstrings of what clearly was a planning issue is where I take offence. It is pure scaremongering that will eventually suit the Liberal Party's voter base When people who are not elected to represent our community , use the Australian Flag and this issue to suit a far right wing group, I take offence. How dare anyone drape themselves in our flag. Our flag represents the values of our country, fairness, decency, compassion. Not for a group of people to make lame statements " I dont want my children to speak Islam" Our Flag should never touch the ground, let alone allow someone to wrap themselves in it. The school was defeated purely on planning laws- rightly so. Now lets put it into perspective. Go away Kate, go back to where you might have come from, Not the Camden I know. A great place to live, rural in all its natural beauty

i must say one thing that really stuck out for me was the irony is her comment about freedom of speech and EQUALITY...think about it...

Hu Gorgan, The pubs bistro is contracted out. She runs her own buisness. She's not an employee. If you had kept your mouth shut, we might have thought you were clever.
