EVERYONE can feel a little bit Irish next Wednesday as the Camden Valley Inn celebrates St Patrick's Day.
Celtic five-piece band, Blackwater, will perform from 6pm and there will be a special menu promotion with steak and Guinness pies sold throughout the day.
Blackwater is made up of PJ Cullen on guitar, Lilo Blyton on the fiddle and vocalist Suzanne Toomey, who also plays the tin whistle and bodhran (a type of drum).
The band has played at the Camden Valley Inn on St Patrick's Day for the past four years and also plays there twice a month.
``I think people will just really enjoy the music because it is very happy and it appeals to all ages,'' Cullen said.
``It's just fun music and a fun day.
``We'll also actually have Irish dancers with us that particular night from the Carey Academy of Irish Dance in Narellan.
``They bring a whole set of dancers who will perform between the breaks and it's a great atmosphere and a really good venue.''
Cullen - who's originally from Dublin - started the band in 1996 and they have since performed at many Irish venues in and around Sydney.
``I played music back home in Ireland from a very early age and was brought up with Irish music in the house all the time,'' he said.
``After a number of years I came to Australia and decided one night to start an Irish band and from there it's taken off.''
The hotel will also be decorated with an Irish theme.
``Traditionally St Patrick's Day is very large at the Camden Valley Inn with up to 300 people,'' general manager Martin Sinclair said.
``We'll have the same theme during the day but the crowds seem to flourish from 6pm onwards as people come from work,'' he said.
