TWENTY-year-old Scott Tye has a pretty good head of hair but not for much longer.
The young Southwell Agricultural Sales & Irrigation sales representative of four years will have his locks shaved off on Friday as part of this week's World's Greatest Shave something he's doing after many requests.
``I've had a lot of requests to have it shaved because of how long it is,'' he said.
It was the young Bargo man's idea and he ``dragged in'' fellow workers at the Edward Street company: Ray Garnsey (shaving), Cassie Palmer (colouring) and John Whitehouse (colouring).
Mr Tye is hoping more from the company join him on his quest to raise about $1000 for the Leukaemia Foundation. More than $300 has already been raised.
Mayor Chris Patterson will also take part on Friday and is encouraging the community to sponsor Camden High School vice-captain Lucy Chetcuti.
Carrington Centennial Care nurse Kristy Hodalj, whose brother had leukaemia, will take the plunge on Friday, shaving her hair at the Mary MacKillop Hostel.
