Delights late in the day at Camden Fresh Produce Market

09 Dec, 2009 03:00 AM
CAMDEN Fresh Produce Market stallholders won't need to be getting up at 5am later this month when they hold their first ever twilight event.

Shoppers looking for an after-work bargain also won't be rubbing sleep out of their eyes while browsing the stalls when Camden Town Farm opens at 4pm on December 22.

Co-ordinator Linda Galea said the market, which had been running twice monthly for eight years, always had a fantastic atmosphere.

``We thought if we had it in the evening people can come after work,'' she said.

``Everyone should come and see us ... it's the best place in Camden to buy fresh produce.''

Santa Claus will make an appearance, handing out lollies to the children.

Items available at the market will include fruit and vegetables, olives, fish, meat, jams, flowers, honey, mushrooms, Christmas trees, cakes, plants, nuts, seedlings and dog treats.
