MYRON - lovingly known as the dog with no eyes - is fast becoming a celebrity.
He's been booked for a television appearance, magazine articles and plenty of visits to libraries, retirement villages and even a gym.
Since the Advertiser profiled Myron and his owners Raquel and Terry Wood in August, Myron has been busy showing off his bag of impressive tricks to anyone and everyone willing to give him the attention.
Myron's repertoire includes the frog (where he lies down and spreads his legs out flat) and chasing a ball by listening to the bounces.
A ``hot'', ``cold'', ``hotter'' or ``colder'' prompt from Mrs Wood tells Myron if he's going in the right direction to find the ball.
Myron was born blind then lost his first eye to glaucoma at three months old and the second eye two months later.
Last week, the Wood family filmed a segment for Channel Ten's Talk to the Animals with Nicky Buckley.
``He's getting a bit of a big head with all this media attention,'' Mrs Wood joked.
``He loves it. He's such a show-off.
``If I'm telling the story about him and nobody's paying attention to him, he'll just do the frog just to get the attention back on him.''
Mrs Wood keeps a resume of Myron's community service activities which includes references from groups and venues that Myron has visited including Curves Narellan, Camden Youth Cafe, Camden Stroke Recovery Club and Yallambee Village in Revesby. ``I'm proud of the joy that he has in his life despite what he's been through,'' Mrs Wood said.
``I'm proud of the love he shows other people.''
